National Night Out Against Crime
Come out and meet your neighbors and join in the fun with games, music, and food; meet those watching out for your family and your home. Statistically, it's known that when neighbors know each other and talk to each other, crime goes down. Tuesday, October 14th, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Debt Boot Camp
This free program for Columbia Parc residents provides access to premium personal financial education at no cost, and free, confidential, one-on-one credit and financial counseling. Program graduates may be eligible for first-time homebuyer benefits such as the United Way’s Individual Development Account (IDA). Interested residents should contact Terrell Haynes at Kingsley House at 504-282-2424 to register. Childcare services may be arranged in advance.

Columbia Parc Health Center
Now open! Columbia Parc Health Center, a division of St. Thomas Health Center, is located at the corner of Caton St. and St. Bernard Ave. by Heritage Senior Living. Planned hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5 PM. The March of Dimes bus is manned at the same location, Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 2 PM, to help answer questions about accessing Affordable Health Care and to help patients enroll in Medicaid or Marketplace. The Pro Bono Project
The Pro Bono Project will be in the Columbia Parc clubhouse on the last Monday of each month to provide free legal services to Columbia Parc residents. Fall Planting Underway

Fall planting and work at The Garden at Columbia Parc is underway. To help facilitate, interested volunteers and residents can attend Garden Education classes that will be held:

  • October 15 - Entomology
  • October 22 - Canning and Pickling

All classes will be held in the Heritage movie theater, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

All classes will be taught by Lee Rouse of the LSU AgCenter.
