Are you interested in a new residence at Columbia Parc? There are three ways former St. Bernard residents may qualify to return to the community.

The first option is to apply for one of the public housing assisted apartments. The residents who qualify to live in one of these apartments will receive a subsidy that will cover a portion of their rent based on their income. These residents will be selected from the HANO wait list and invited to apply with priority placed on the elderly and disabled.

The second way former residents may qualify is by applying for an affordable tax credit apartment. These apartments do not receive any type of assistance, but the rents are set at a level based on the area’s median income. The rental rates on these apartments may not exceed a certain rent level. These apartments will be leased on a first come, first served basis.

The third way to qualify is by applying for a market-rate apartment. These apartments do not receive any type of financial assistance. The rental rates are determined based on the current local rental market.
